I'm Shelley, an illustrator based in Liverpool in the North West of England.
As well as designing products and working on freelance projects, I'm also studying a Masters in Children's Book Illustration at the University of Central Lancashire.
My inspiration comes from my love of travel and exploring new places.
I predominantly use watercolour, gouache, crayon and sometimes collage materials in my work. My style is hand drawn and I like to build layers within my work through combining media, bold colour and mark making to create intricate details and pattern.
I graduated from LJMU in 2009 with a B.A. in Graphic Arts and Illustration.
I'm also a qualified Early Years Professional and former Enterprise Fellowship Programme candidate which helped me to launch my freelance business in 2012.
